Cheats make the game easier somtimes, but cheating all the time in the game may ruin some excitement. Below I put together the cheats for the game. My favorites are in italics, enjoy. If there is a cheat I missed, please feel free to shoot me an e-mail from the Contact Us page, do the same if you have one that does not work and I will test it again and remove it from the list if needed.

First you must enter [ctrl]+[shift]+C to bring up the cheat codes box in the game.
Next you must type: testingcheatsenabled to activate the cheat codes.
Last After enabling (typing the initial cheat in) you can use any of the following codes to enhance your gameplay, including help which brings up a variation of cheat codes within the game for you.

help – displays most cheats
Kaching – adds 1,000 simoleons to household
Motherlode – adds 50,000 simoleions to household
shazaam – adds 2,500 lifetime points to currently selected sim
freerealestate – lots in the game become free!
modify traits - set, change, or clear selected sim’s traits
add to household – adds your active sim to current household (screw all that move in nonsense!)
set age [number] – sets the age of your current sim
edit in cas – edit your sim in Create-A-Sim mode
set career [career/level] – gives your sim any career and job they want
force opportunity – click your career building, this will force an opportunity to come
force event – click your career bulding, this will force an event to come
force all events – click your career building, this will force all events to come one at a time
force service sim [name] – will force a particular service sim to arrive
force visitor – allows a random neighbor or community sim to show up at your house
make me know everyone – currently selected sim knows everyone
make friends for me – makes several sims friends of your currently selected sim
make happy – sets all moods to entire household to perfect, and rids of all negative moodlets
make motives [dynamic or static] – set motives dynamic or static to entire household
unlockOutfits [on/off] – view career outfits and service uniforms, you must enter this code before entering
moveObjects [on/off] – a classic! Move objects anywhere without the grid
reset sim [first name] [last name] – make sure your sim is at home not in community view (this resets your sim)
constrainFloorElevation [true/false] -forces terrain adjustments regardless of locations of sims and objects
disableSnappingToSlotsOnAlt [on/off] – objects will not snap onto grid while being held
fadeObjects [on/off] – fades objects when the camera gets fairly close
snapObjectsToAngle [true/false] – toggle with a 45 degree angle object snap
snapObjectsToGrid [true/fase] – toggles the grid for already placed objects
hideHeadlineEffects [on/off] – great for movies, this removes the thought and talk bubbles above the sims’ heads
jokePlease – a random joke appears
enablellamas [on/off] – ? llama message
slowMotionViz [0-8] – slow motion visuals 0 being normal and 8 being the slowest
testingCheatsenabled [true/false] – great cheat i think, this allows you to change needs bars for your sims by clicking and dragging

Lots of Money Without Cheating
One of the best ways to earn a living in The Sims 3 without using cheats is to write novels and sell them. You can begin writing novels on a computer, it’s best to start with fiction novels and as you write your writing skills will automatically increase allowing you to write more types of novels. You will gain most income from writing “best-selling” Romance novels. With dedication, your sim can earn up to 40,000 Simoleons per week! I’ve tried this with one of my sims, it’s verified.

Life After Death
Check out the graveyard, Pleasant Rest Graveyard and close to the entrance there is a shrub by the name of ‘Death Flower Bush.’ If you pick the flower off the shrub, and place it in your inventory you can trade the flower with the Grim Reaper if your sim dies. Your sim will then return to life and continue where he/she left off.

How to Have a Baby Ghost
1. Set your Sim’s traits to Kleptomaniac (must be female)
2. Go to the community graveyard
3. Wait until your sim steals remains or tell sim to swipe something (remains must be male)
4. On the second day since stealing grave and putting it in home, the ghost will appear at 11:00pm and disappear at 4:00am it will appear every other day
5. Socialize with ghost every night it appears until you are at best friend ghost will then begin appearing every night
6. Get fertility reward
7. Confess attraction to ghost
8. Ask to snuggle on bed, kiss
9. Try for baby every night until you start throwing up
10. Congrats! You’re now having a ghost’s baby!
